Join artist, Mel Remmers, in all three of her workshops to get you inspired to use different tools to add color and texture to your art!
On Saturday, March 14th students will learn how to use brush pen marker.s Much like watercolor these markers act like watercolor when wet paint brush is applied but with more control. You will be amazed by the layering effect these markers have with other mediums to give a wow factor.
On Saturday, April 18th students will learn how to work with and use “wet on wet” and “wet on dry” watercolor techniques. You will learn how to apply color washes to paper: flat wash, graded wash or multicolor. You will master different watercolor techniques and you will learn how to combine it with other media.
Finally, on Saturday May 9th, students will learn how to use dry pastels. You will learn the basics of working with dry pastels, as well as layering and smudging with them. You will learn the effect of drastically different textures achieved with soft and hard pastel, what Mel refers as her “magic”.
Students will be working with Mel’s popular fashion illustrations in a water coloring book style format and all supplies will be provided!
